Default Who's your favourite film director?

Who's your favourite director and what films of theirs do you particularly admire?

The usual generic answer; Hitchcock. Doing little things instead of the big ones can mean a lot. The Rear Window still gives me chills to this day.

I have always been and will always be a Lynch girl.

I like Wes Anderson too. I liked The Royal Tenenbaums even more than Rushmore, though... looking forward to The Life Aquatic.

EVEN loved The Straight Story? It's a great film... it's worthy of mentioning solely for the amazing cinematography... the way it was shot. Swoon. It gives me chills.

David gets such props from me for being David LYNCH and making an incredibly good G-rated film.

So I was a loser before? Thanks!!!!!

I love David. I also find him intensely attractive (cough). Mulholland Drive was amazing. Lost Highway was thrilling at times and completely worth it. LOVE HIM.

Now I'll resume praying for the rest of the episodes of Twin Peaks to be released on DVD.

Don't get me started. Anderson has such a ****ty and egotistical attitude and that flick embodied all of it. It was terrible. Plus, I can't stand Adam Sandler one iota.

I really like Escape From New York and The Thing too. What happened to Carpenter, he used to be so good.
Seen Ghosts of Mars? Ugh.

I used to love Halloween, but I got burned out on it. I love The Fog. I saw Haute Tension a couple of weeks ago and I can't that sucker outta my head. Some of it made me feel ill, but it's a great example of how to do a horror flick. See it if it opens in your area.
