Default Courtney Love wrote "Malibu" and "Pacific Coast Highway" for Stevie

Or at least that's what she said during a recent concert. I think both songs could have been great for Stevie, particularly Malibu. Even though Hole has already released it, I think Stevie should still do her own version

No matter how "grunge" or "babydoll" or whatever classification Courtney has been titled, she has an ear (hand) for penning a tune that would suit Stevie well. Way back when Hole still mattered, Stevie would have done well to take a song written by Courtney and record it. Would have done them both a lot of good. IMO ofcourse. Its funny how Stevie will cover just about anything, but is SO choosy about taking a song not written by her. Yea, she's done it, and yea, she has enough of her own material, but PCH or Malibu could have worked. Look how surpriseing SIAB turned out to be.

It's ironic Malibu was written about Stevie... it's the only song of Courtney's I've ever liked!

In one of her Twitter-rants to therealstevienicks (or something like that) she thought she was talking to Stevie, she said she wrote Malibu for her but never offered it to her because she deceided to keep it for herself and she was so sorry and wanted Stevie to forgive her, lol.

And while we're on the subject:

Stevie photographed awesomely well in the above shot! I'd forgotten how black and white photography is especially flattering to her, there seem to have been a lot more b&w photos of her in the 70s and the 80s. It really brings our the best in her features, while often times in color photographs, she looks a little washed out.
Anyone know how the Hole cd has sold this year, or it's chart rankings? I assume that it's peaked by now? I know that the advance reviews of it were excellent.
I'd meant to go buy it, but forgot.

Yeah, Stevie looks smokin' in that photo. She also she looks likes she was smoking/toking too. Love her very glassy-eyed, heavy-lidded stoner look.

[Courtney says that her new album is unique in that it doesn't contain an FM reference, like the rest of her work does]

Excerpt from USA Today article by Steve Jones, 7-18-2013:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/m...-book/2552467/

Love says those songs and her other new material "is not my usual (style). I don't have any Fleetwood Mac references on it. Usually I always have a Fleetwood Mac reference as well as having, like, a Big Black references. These are very unique songs that sort of magically happened."

As for her book, which is being published by HarperCollins, Love says that "there's some salacious things about myself, but there's certainly no kissy-telly. I don't do kiss-tell. It's not that. In fact, you'd think I was the Virgin Mary from his book so far — but that doesn't mean there's not juicy parts in it. It's just juicy parts about ME, not other people."
