Default New Book on Tusk!

I was just surfing the web a little while ago in search on Fleetwood Mac books and I came across something new...

"Fleetwood Mac's Tusk" by Rob Trucks to be released March 2010. Sounds like a very interesting book and I can't wait for it to be released. I'm sure I'll be buying it.

I assume this is one of the 33 1/3 series.

Edit: yes, I see it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/33%E2%85%93
Cool, these are a good series of books and they have some interesting titles coming up.

That is awesome news. And it'll be an interesting read too, not a gossippy crapbook, but a real "documentary". This is a very good serie of books and you can tell that just by reading the already released list of featured albums.

And it's just great that it's about Tusk and not about Rumours.

Oh Carol Ann... very very interesting book to read, and I believe the fundamental fact underneath the majority of what she is saying. But I think she was well aware in the process of writing that book that she would be portraying a lot of events and individuals how she wanted to see them...

That can apply to a lot of books. Carol Ann's book is not unique in that matter. I have no problem with her book. Like you stated, there are some fundamental facts there; she provides a unique perspective in the twisted machinations of the band at their peak. I don't feel it's as contrived or vindictive as some people think it is. The are many elements of truth among the over-dramatized senarios. Again, that is very typical of most biographies, autobiographies, etc...

Great! I've thought of getting the Elliott Smith book in that series but I wasn't really sure what sort of stuff it has in it. What are they like?

I love Elliott Smith too. Miss him.
They're just basically stories about the making of the album, meanings of songs and the like.
