Default Just got into Christine solo - Friend

I've been a huge fan of Stevie forever now, and I've decided to start moving into Christine's solo stuff.

Friend is absolutely fantastic
The music kind of reminds me of YMLF.
Anyone have any other Christine recommendations?
I also love Got a Hold on Me

Well for whatever reason the embed code won't work, but here's the youtube link to a 1983 Christine McVie concert featuring songs from her new album along with Mac tunes. There are about 7 parts so enjoy!

I recommend buying her 1983 self-titled album, as well as her last album "In The Mean Time."

She has tons of Christine Perfect and Chicken Shack recordings too.. Lots of soloing.. which she didn't do as much in FM..

If you love Friend then you'll definitely love You are, which is my personal favourite solo Christine song and one of her best altogether I think.

I know! I discovered it on youtube a while back and always meant to share it here.

One thing I knew for sure - you damn well can tell when Mick Fleetwood is on drums! He nearly blasted my speakers on those Mac tunes.

Alot of FM/Stevie etc. stuff needs to be on DVD like right now!

CM's solo material can be sort of bland. In the Meantime is probably her best. If you can find her first album, Christine Perfect, from 1969 or '70, it's worth a listen. At the very least, you should hear her version of I'd Rather Go Blind.

And typing papers on typewriters--after we wrote them out first in longhand: a thing of the past.

I'd have to agree that her solo stuff is often a little bland. Christine seems to have gone in a warm, mellow direction in her solo career that's less interesting to me, personally, than her FM material. Certainly not bad--probably excellent, in fact, for what it is. But after listening to her '71-'74 FM material obsessively for the last few weeks, Christine McVie and In the Meantime sound a touch anemic in comparison.

Christine Perfect is on iTunes and is my favorite solo album of hers. "I'd Rather go Blind" is the standout, but "Wait and See," "Close to Me," and "For You" are also gems.
