Unhappy R.I.P. Sweeney

as many of you know i had a cute little 4 yr old weenie dog named sweeney lynn (lynn after stevie's middle name)~ she was my spoiled baby & i worshiped her~ well yesterday she woke up paralyzed & we have no idea why~ the vet said it could have been a stroke, they did an x-ray & said there was no actual injury to the back, thus bringing on the stroke theory~ when i took her out the night before to go potty she was fine & frisky, whatever happened, happened when we were asleep~ i just got up to take her potty & she was dragging her backside~ so after rushing her to the vet, there was nothing i could do but to end her suffering~ which i have to say was so hard because she kept kissing me~ she will be missed immensely~ & i have to give thanks to my hubby who rushed home from wrk to my hysterical cries & when it was all over, made me a beautiful little funeral for my puppy~
Sweeney thanx for the memories girl & all the fun we had taking you to south dakota my little road dog~ Bless you!!! ~

Sweeney Lynn

I am VERY sorry to hear that. Maybe she was bitten by a spider during the night?

She's in a better place now. And trust me, you made the right decision.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that!

The same thing just happened to my cat. The vet said it was a "saddle thrombosis"... There was nothing we could do. It was the first time I had to have an animal put to sleep and I stayed with him until he was gone, so I know what you are going through...

I'm so sorry Jill. This brought me to tears. She was too young.

I'm SOO sorry to hear about this Jill. This also brought me to tears too, and I'm still choked up. Mary was right.. You will meet her at the Rainbow Bridge. I had something similar happen to me as well, as my boyfriend and I adopted a sweet baby German Shepherd puppy on July 4th, a couple of years ago, and one day he just woke up paralyzed and couldn't keep his little head up, and it was SOOOO sad. We rushed him to the vet, so we ended up doing the same thing.. Just know they are in a better place, and they are with us every day... Stay strong girlfriend.. and know that Sweeney is with you!

Sending lots of love your way..

Arlene

I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful little Sweeney. I lost a very beloved cat only a few months ago, just as suddenly. At not quite three years old, he had cardiomyopathy. It's so hard and not fair. My thoughts go out to you, with best wishes in getting throught his time.

Default Sweeney

Jill, I am so very sorry to hear about little Sweeney.
I adore animals so very much, and they are my preferred company, they are not cruel, or backstabbing, or stress givers, they just want love...
I know you will join her again, at the beautiful Rainbow Bridge....

My love to you, from me and the kitties, too...
