Default John's taking a break

He wrote today and says that since he's in the middle of another (!) move, he'll need to stop for awhile, as time is a bit short. But he asked me to thank everybody who sent in questions, and says that he "really enjoys doing this" as it gets his memory going and makes him feel good as well etc. I love knowing that, i can't even tell you what that means to me, to be able to be a part of something that makes him happy. and you guys are all part of that also... I just can't even describe it without getting emotional, it's just so neat.

So anyway, he plans to get back to me in a few weeks and would like to pick it up again ('if there's any interest' LOL, he's so humble.) So please, keep sending me new questions, concerning any era, other members of the band etc....whatever you might be curious about. he's only chosen to skip a few so far, so odds are, eventually, your question will be answered!!

he sent back 2 more answers today also, I'll try and get those up tonight.

So that's the scoop!!

-Lis

of course I did! He is such a pleasure, and always welcome.

I also told him that all those years he thought he was 'not good' at interviews-- and here it turns out he is phenomenal at them if they're done this way! (and he actually enjoys it! Imagine that! )

Question Lis

I'll try and think of some questions for next time but whether I can come up with any or not, please let him know some (I mean, me & some others I know of on the boards) of our sincere interest in hearing some of those Dave Walker era live soundboards he said he came across while getting organized for his move. This may sound bizarre to some but this was a tour that many of us have not heard anything from & to at least know what the set lists were like during that tour, if not hear the recordings, would be a great step in the right direction for learning more about the live adventures of FM.

Not bizarre at all. It's only been in the last few years that a lot of boots have been made widely available. I now have stuff I wouldn't have dreamed was actually out there: a couple of shows with Brunning (including the very FIRST gig), Danny-Christine era stuff, and even Buckingham Nicks. But, the Weston years in general have been neglected in this. Save for a boot on Bob Welch's site and the Midnight Special, there isn't a lot out there with Weston, let alone Walker. It's really the only gap.

Actually, There's nothing out there except for those 3 tracks from the MTM era. And, there's not one single thing from the Penguin tour. I'd gladly pay John for any of those soundboards. So, I agree with John & Steve.

John , I told him that if he ever want to 'do something' w/ them, share them etc that we could probably help him out. I don't want to get my hopes up. He said he thinks there's only a 50% chance the tapes are even playable....and even if they are, he may not care to get into anything heavy w/ them. but i did say there would be interest.
