Take vocals out of songs?

Is there any kind of program that allows you to take the singing out of songs?
I would really like to get just an instrumental of some Fleetwood Mac songs and some Boston. Any suggestions?

From what I understand about that, to really accomplish taking out the vocals you need to have the original reels, where you can actually take out the vocal parts. CD’s or other audio devices really can’t do this!

This is just my guess.

If you have the right software, you can do it. However, I do not know **** about it, so I couldn't say. Certain PAs, microphones and karaoke machines enable vocal elimination to an extent, too.
