Ripping a music DVD

I recall that someone had posted the 5.1 mixes from Say You Will in various forms. Is it possible to rip a music DVD to a good stereo mix to play on a media player? I'm wondering because I'm so in love with the 5.1 mix of Sara on the DVD and was wondering if there was a way to mix it down to a good stereo track. Or, I guess one could rip each individual track and make you're own mix. Has anyone done this with any of past 5.1 releases?

I ripped it and have played it a million times it seems...I used a Mac app called "Rip It" and then an app called "Handbrake" to get it as a file playable in my iTunes.
