Cool Memorable Movie Images

Ok, inspired in the Video Images thread...

What movies moments are instantly recognizable the moment you see them ?and/or come to mind when you think of an artist ??? Not necessarily musical moments, mine would be:

John Travolta & Uma dancing in Pulp Fiction
John Travolta dancing YSBD in Saturday Night Fever
Catwoman kissing Batman in Batman 2
Indiana Jones shooting the sword man in Raiders of the lost ark
Indiana Jones looking for his gun when the 2 sword men attack him in Temple of Doom
Donna Summer singing Last Dance in Thank's God it's Friday (a silly movie but I love the song)
Scarlett O'hara wearing red at Ashley's birthday in Gone with the Wind (Am I too old??)
Janet Leigh at the shower, PSYCHO!!
Drew Barrymore screaming when she meets E.T.

Gloria Swanson walking down those stairs while deranged in the final scene of Sunset Blvd. Ditto for her speech while watching herself in Queen Kelly - "I'll be up there again one day" and then she turns into the light of the projector exposing her once famous but long forgotten profile. I LOVE HER!!!!!!

Faye Dunaway in just about all of Mommie Dearest esp. "WHY CAN'T YOU GIVE ME THE RESPECT THAT I AM ENTITLED TO - WHY CAN'T YOU TREAT ME LIKE I WOULD TREATED BY ANY STRANGER ON THE STREET . . . . "

The boom shot of Clark Gable at the bottom of the stairs in his fiest scene (at Twelve Oaks) in Gone with the Wind. Ditto for Scarlett's "I'll NEVAH go hungry again" speech.

Just about any scene in Rushmore. Every scene of that movie was brilliantly shot.

Also the last scene of Lost in Translation--very moving.

I thought I was the only Requiem fanatic! Read the book yet? It's divine.

As for memorable images, let's see...

Pam Grier on the conveyer belt in the airport in "Jackie Brown."

Faye Dunaway in "Network" in every scene where she screams.

Isablla Rossellini singing at the lounge in "Blue Velvet." Also, Dennis Hopper with his oxygen mask.

Marilyn Burns running through the woods in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

The raining frogs in "Magnolia."

Tim Curry in fishnets in "Rocky Horror."

Heather #1 drinking Drain-O in "Heathers."

I read the book last year. It took me a while to get used to the way it was written, but once I got the hang of it, I couldn't put it down. They're both equally amazing, IMO.

A few people already mentioned GWTW but the scene that sticks out in my mind is Scarlett running down the stairs after Rhett..."where will I go..what will I do...frankly my dear, I don't give a damn..." I love that film..

I know, but then if we knew that, the scene wouldn't have been as memorable! Damn conundrums!

Two GREAT scenes!! I freakin LOVE Parenthood!! Them having the wreck after she uhhh...you know. LOL Also, "Feel like you wanna throw up." "Okay. *BLEH!"

Sixth Sense....the scene *I'll* never forget is seeing an emaciated Donnie Wahlberg in the bathroom in his tighty whities. I whispered to my mom, "OMG, that's Donnie from New Kids!!" We were like . Also, the little girl's mom poisoning her and the dad watched the video...the look on his face of sheer horror and sadness. Brilliant.
