Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

A part of the One Take solo sounds like a part of the solo in Come.

When She Comes Down has elements that reminds me of D.W. Suite.

The first part of the end solo on RAB has the exact same bass line picking pattern as Bleed to love her.

Still one of my favourite songs, albums and lindseys best work I personally think.

Chilli Might have been a little harsh with his assasination of the album. It is getting great reviews from the critics and fans alike.

The album is full of energy from start to finish with quirky vocals and riffs thrown in all over the place, I continually find myself skipping back a few seconds to here that line or guitar riff before letting the song finish. I find something new that i like in each song every time i listen.

Lindsey is doing what he does best. I certainly wouldnt refer to it as milking the life out of the "big love" machine at all. I dont really know how anyone can ask for more.
And the album is hardly not too "noisy". In fact I dont even know what noisy means. The way the chorus came in about 5 levels too high in Love Runs Deeper was noisy. Is that what he meant?

Lindseys music always changes and evolves as he experiments with sounds, thats part of the mad scientist package deal we get with him. I wouldnt want another tusk album or another out of the cradle or SWS. They are what they are (perfect in their own right) and Lindsey will continue experimenting and creating sounds we cant imagine creating newer and perfect albums.

I think lindsey was influenced to design this album partly from what his fans wanted to hear, and I think for 99% of us he hit the nail right on the head.

Interesting ideas!

I must say Illumination evoked Slow Dancing for me very strongly right off the bat. It has the same intense, moody atmosphere and insistent rhythm.

I'd say it's "noisy" in that there is distortion on a fair number of the songs that is either from sloppy recording or really bad (and really loud) mastering. Maybe a combination of both. It almost spoils WSCD for me because the distortion is almost louder than the song during the "all" of "all go to meet her". I was hoping that it was my speakers but I've tried it on a whole range of speakers and it was even mentioned in one review.

I love the album, I just wish it was a bit more audiophile, like old Go Insane ere Lindsey. Still, it won't stop me enjoying the album.

The fact that I love the live version so much better than the recorded version reminds me of Say Goodbye.

Default Rock Away Blind

RAB reminds me of Try For The Sun, even though that is a cover of the Donovan song. Didn't care a whole lot for Try For The Sun, but really like RAB.

THe very very beginning of Rock Away Blind reminds me of 'Say' by John Mayer.

I don't even know why.
