Perhaps to see family and dodge the draft.

I've been to Canada many times, it's a beautiful country. The people are fantastic and it's so clean and warm to tourists.

I'm actually going to the Canadian side of Niagra Falls in one month...and I'll be moving to Rochester, NY which is about three hours (less by ferry) to Toronto...so I will definitely be going to Canada in the near future!! And...just because I've always wanted to go to Canada

I would, i guess - but isn't it too cold to swim in any rivers or lakes?

I've been there quite a few times. If it wasn't for the fact that I keep spending money on Fleetwood Mac shows/travel and lodging for said shows, I'd love to take another trip up to Toronto. It is by far the cleanest and most friendliest city i've ever visited. Not to mention the shopping and food are both fabulous

Except the cab drivers are insane. Don't get into a cab unless you have life insurance.

Seriously, It IS to cold to swim in rivers and lakes there, right? I've heard of really cool other kinds of nature trips there, i think. Like kayaking. I would have to do something like that - I don't think i would ever take a vacation just to shop and eat. But I hear Canada's nature-ness is not to be equaled.

See, now to me, that applies more to NYC. Taking your life in your own hands with that ride

Our great lakes are about the same temp as yours....and we have many many smaller lakes (especially up in the Muskoka's) that we swim in all summer long.
