Fascinating pic. ....hmm, now I see they change. It's the one in which he looks right at us . sepiacolored.

Is it this one?
I think this is an old one, from the OOTC period.

Yep. Hmm he looks a little older than ootc-era. But maybe that's just the sepia
Good picture though. Thanks, Gaius. BTW: what do you hope an acoustic lindsey-album will sound like?

Hopefully not like twelve SMAPs or SGCYMs!
I think there will be more of that guitar percussion thing as on Red Rover, with each string going through different guitar FX. Shut Us Down might be on the album too. Who knows, he might even have a few standards in there in the vein of Satisfied Mind or All My Sorrows, tastefully arranged with some of the usual quirks. He will probably cover his lack of vocal range these days with some effects. Varispeed will be there too. So it won't be ultra-intimate. But then Lindsey isn't Nick Drake, and was never meant to be one. A successful Lindsey acoustic album, to my mind, will have all of the above and a random SMAP or SGCYM. And maybe something we weren't expecting, like a song recorded with bagpipes, didgeridoo and a self-built acoustic drum machine. Now that would be something!

I wish there was an upgrade to LB's site that included something like this:
http://www.vai.com/SightsSounds/virtual_vai/index.html I would find fascinating to catch a glimpse of Lindsey's studio. |

I'm sure I own the magazine in which that picture appeared. Not sure, but I think it was in full colour. I think it was a Dutch magazine .. Oor? Or one of those guitarist mags. OOTC-days anyway.
can give you a big scan once I dig it up. |

i swear that looks like the same chair as the 1997 rolling stone (october issue, maybe? not the one with FM on the cover.. think it was aerosmith or stones) article about lindsey taking recording equipment with him on the road. the picture is him sitting in a hotel room playing a baby taylor (i think).. equipment behind him.
maybe it's his special guitar playing chair. lol.
