The Mac's Back For Spring/Summer Swing Fleetwood Mac's reunion tour will continue with a second North American leg to launch May 8 in Madison, Wis. A total of 34 dates are set, stretching into the summer, when the tour will close July 11 in Englewood, Col. The band -- Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood -- is in the midst of an Australian tour that will close Sunday (March 7) in Sydney. The group's reunion album, "Say You Will" (Reprise), debuted nearly a year ago at No. 3 on The Billboard 200, and has sold nearly 810,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The making of "Say You Will" -- cut without Christine McVie -- will be the subject of "Fleetwood Mac: Destiny Rules," a 90-minute documentary premiering March 14 on VH1. The music channel, which along with VH1 Classic will sponsor the spring/summer tour, will air the documentary commercial free, sponsored by CompUsa and SBC As previously reported, Rhino will on March 23 release expanded versions of three classic Fleetwood Mac albums, 1975's self-titled album, 1977's "Rumours" and 1979's "Tusk." :thinks about going to last show....:
Why do I have a feeling that more dates might possibly be added?

I wonder if July 11th will really be the last show, or if that's just the last scheduled show for now?
I was hoping they would come back to Toronto or Buffalo again.

Do you think Fleetwood Mac will ever reunite? Maybe. But not with me or Christine or Lindsey. Christine and I will always be close; Lindsey just plain doesn't like me. I never had any musical training of any kind. I just had this innate ability to walk in, sit down at a piano, and write a song in five minutes, and go to bed. It drives him nuts. - Stevie Nicks, 1994 |

Last show
I agree, I doubt they would end the tour in Co. No offense to those in Co. it just seems odd thats all, esp since they all live in LA you would think that they might do a final show at Hollywood Bowl since it isn't on the line-up. Funny to see San Jose on there again since HP Pavillion is inside, but sentimental value maybe, plus the Bay area has lots of $$$.

Don't be surprised if there is another AHI benefit in the fall.
I think that tour will expand into Sept or Oct. |

Musician's Friend Interview With Mick Fleetwood Musician's Friend (MF): So how does it feel to be back on the road with Fleetwood Mac? Fleetwood: Well, we've been out for quite a while. We're just off to Australia in about 8 or 9 days. After that we're back to America for another full-country tour. It's great. It's certainly grown into something more than we ever expected in terms of the demand and enthusiasm. The tour will be the better part of 18 months long by the time we come back at the end of August. It'll probably go on through Christmas, I don't know. It's going that well. We are happy to do it. I think as a band we've enjoyed the fact that the response has been really great. We've certainly paid attention to trying to grow the band musically rather than just sitting on our laurels.

Tour Ends July 11th
I wonder if the first wave of ticket sales for this summer has or had anything to do with the decision to either go on or to just complete an agreed to one leg?
Guess it's possible - if the demand has dropped off. But it should pick back up once these things start airing on tv. |
