Now, here's a question for you...
This may seem as a bit of a dopey question, but Lindsey says he can't read music and therefore you assume he can't write it either (sounds like most of us...hehe ) so how would he go about translating his music onto paper?? Perhaps he writes everything in chords and does it all by trial and error or by ear. Any thoughts?

I always wondered that myself.

I didn't know he couldn't read music, just that he was a self-taught musician....
I guess I just thought that meant he taught himself to read music. When did he say that? I can read music, but I can't play anymore. That's what 4 years of piano lessons did for me! lol!!

I'm sure I read a Lindsey quote where he said he couldn't read music , maybe a fellow Ledgie can help me out here..(perhaps David will know or even Linds in disguise/under that other pseudonym...hehehe)

Maybe his longtime co-producer Richard Dashut transcribes it...??

That's what publishing companies are for. There's some hack in some back office with a cassette of "Out Of The Cradle" transcribing each song note-for-note.
When a song is copyrighted, a "lead sheet" is submitted to the copyright office (along with a cheque for the appropriate fees), so somebody has to do the transcribing.
