Default Astrology/Weird Best Actress Coincidences. And all Fire signs this year

"Best Actress: Reese Witherspoon versus Keira Knightley

Who will win the Academy Award for Best Actress this year? Curiously, two of the nominees were born on December 16 -- Judy Dench (1934) and Felicity Huffman (1962). Even more curiously, another two were born on March 22 -- Reese Witherspoon (1976) and Keira Knightley (1985). The fifth, Charlize Theron, was born on August 7, 1975.

Since the Solar Eclipse on March 29 will be in Aries, this Hollywood handicapper favors the Rams. Reese Witherspoon's Venus in Pisces is being activated by transiting Uranus as the March 5 ceremony approaches, bathing her in the exciting, electric aura of an exalted goddess. That evening, Venus enters Aquarius, where she forms a favorable sextile to Reese's Sun, further enhancing her chances.

However, transiting Mars is squaring Reese's Venus, presenting her with a strong competitor. Mars, as the natural ruler of Aries, points to Keira Knightley, who has her Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus all in Aries. In addition, Keira has Pallas, the goddess of war, at 9º Aries, right in line with the Solar Eclipse. Many of Keira's films reflect her competitive Aries nature, including Bend It Like Beckham, Pirates of the Caribbean, and as the feisty, bold Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice.

Naturally, transiting Venus also sextiles Keira's Sun on March 5, gracing her with beauty and charm. By secondary progression, her Venus is at 9º Aries, where it brings success and recognition by being conjunct Pallas and perfectly sextile Jupiter. The Solar Eclipse activating this lucky combination gives her a good shot at becoming the youngest winner ever of the Best Actress Award."

I don't remember her in Bend It Like Beckham. Weird. Good movie though.

That's what I thought, then Diss said no, Keira, then we bet $20. Wanna get in on that?
Okay, you didn't think it was weird that 2 of the actresses have the same birthday, then 2 others of them have the same birthday, and that together they are all three of the Fire signs represented? (including Charlize). Not a bit? No?

I guess Keira was the main non indian girl in Bend It Like Beckham - but she was blond there. Apropos of nothing.

Sure I'll bet $20 that Reese will take it.That also goes for Richard B who doesn't think that Brokeback will take best picture.

This is starting out a nice little pot.

So, you are betting that Brokeback will get best picture. I kind of agree. mmm, but I'm biased b/c I think it probably really is the best picture, so I'm not thinking in the academy's shoes on that one. I certainly hope it does.

Here's the caveat - I haven't seen any of the movies! Hurray! (i want to see some of them, don't get me wrong)
I'm psychic.

Brokeback just has all the momentum and majority of the critics groups awards and it is the highest grosser of the nominees in that category .Any other picture winning would be an upset and to me an unpleasant shock.

Just one in 1992 at the Chardonny Inn in Napa .It was a benefit for the Napa Valley AIDS project I bought all these tickets for glasses of wine and that was the year Silence of the Lambs swept. By the time my favorite living actress Jodie won her Best Actress Oscar for that film I was so soused I began blubbering .Gawd I'm glad I do things in moderation now!

No. I cry through the entire show practically. And I certainly would if I saw Jodie win.
Don't you think it'll be a madhouse in sf though if brokeback wins?

Oh, Diss just told me that me and him had a bet about best supporting actress. I don't know why. Anyway, I picked Michelle Williams and he picked Rachel Weisz (sp).

Yeah although I think most of the guys in Sf really do expect it to win. I wouldn't bet on that one .I don't think Michelle is favored to win but she was great in the film .If Brokeback really does sweep I think it could at least carry Heath in it's wake though .If not Hoffman will get it for Capote.

awww...I better put aside that 20 bucks. I can't remember why I did that!
Even if they expect it, I think it could still be emotional. But I'm not a gay man. But I cried when it won during the golden globes.

I hope Heath gets it. I love Hoffman, though. But...sometimes those biopic performances look like more than they are, or there is more mannerism than emotional truth. But I haven't seen Capote - just clips - and you could hardly ask for a better actor.
Anyway...what are we doing up? Hee. have a good night.
Wait - you never said you thought that was a weird coincidence, did you?! Bastard.
