What do Lindsey's songs on Mirage remind you of??
music from the 1950's.
This guy blows me away all the time! |

Yeah I guess they have a bit of that '50's sound to them. Mirage is one of my favorite FM albums, a solid listen all the way through.

Yeah, they got that 50's style but tunes like "Can't Go Back" and "Eyes Of The World" sound like n FAO Shwartz store.
Doesn't it? Like all the toys going around and all sounds like the beginning of EOTW.

Fer sure...
The 50's most def....when I first heard Oh Diane, I didn't check to see that Lindsey wrote it and I was under the impression it was a remake of some 50's song!!
I agree TOTALLY WH, he NEVER fails to impress me!!

Yea, the '50s for sure, and I love Oh Diane...it's one of my favs. from that album. The songs suit Lindsey a lot, given his musical influences.

I agree w/ the 50's thing- but I loooooooooove Empire State (which I have seen bashed in other threads!?) which seems to me to be more a New Wave/Pop concoction.
