Default Stevie & Lindsey during The Dance?

Ok....someone on another board brought this up once...or twice ...what do you guys think OR do we have any evidence that Stevie & Lindsey "hooked" up during The Dance era?

I think those two will always love each other and be fond. But I don't see them hooking up on that tour. Just having fun and playing along with it for themselves/for the fans, and nothing more. I do think Stevie/Mac fans are always dreaming and thinking more into things than what they really are.

I think that about all the other tours since Lindsey came back... But The Dance, it seems pretty obvious to me that there was actually something going on, but it obviously went up in flames somewhere down the line, hence, 'Thrown Down,' etc.

I definitely think there may have been something going on. Regardless of whether it was intended as a serious relationship or just a fling I don't know. However, Lindsey did say in one of his interviews that "The Dance" Stevie reminded him of the girl he moved from San Fran to L.A with. So that kind of tells me that they were definitely rediscovering something lol. And when I saw the interview with the gif posted above that was another not so subtle clue

I'm 95% sure that they were heavily emotionally involved but not physically. My source swears that's the case, and that Kristen getting pregnant ended it....

*My* source said they totally did it every night and that the jealousy got so bad that Christine finally left the band for good.

Ay!

Pure speculation. I think there was a lot said to each other during that time, for some reason I get the feeling more from Lindsey's end. Whether that translated into something more than that- if even for a short time- is unclear. I tend to not believe much of anything unless I hear it from the horse's mouth, and songs like "Thrown Down", "Fall From Grace" and "Everybody Finds Out" are probably the most confirmation we'll ever get.

Also, those interview outtakes from The Dance rehearsals say so much to me. Lindsey seems just completely smitten.

Hey Lily Rose...Jim Ladd is my man too; love that

It seems obvious to me there was something of sorts going on; then he met Kristen at the band's photo shoot, & well.....

Danielle....hummm...your source? That's totally hot LOL. I would have killed to have been a fly on the wall. Lets remember how long he & Stevie went without speaking/seeing each other BEFORE The Dance!

Well they did Twisted in '96... and then the Clinton thing in '93... so it wasn't that long.

I have the same gut feeling... there was something going on... smooching... heavy petting perhaps. I don't know if they ever hopped in the sack again or not. I think they both probably got caught up in the moment of how good the reunion was... then after awhile realized how volatile it was between them. Dunno.

I tend to agree with Dani / Dani's source. It's clear there was a rapprochement during The Dance, but I think it was very much dipping their toes in the water and seeing if there was any chance for them again. I also think that the stakes were huge, and that's why Stevie in particular probably didn't want to rush into anything.

We have to remember, these were two people who meant everything to each other, then imploded, then were in a state of 'cold war' for years and years, during which they couldn't quite shake free of their feelings of residual desire and disbelief that they let something so deep just slip through their fingers.

In 97, I think LB had stopped being angry with Stevie, and discovered some compassion for the pressures she'd been under when she went off the rails. But, as he said himself at the time, Stevie had to learn to trust him again, and I think that was a very tentative process for her. So probably what happened was that he was wondering if they might hook up again, to see how it went, but she was less sure, because she knew how high the stakes were - that this was, in effect, their last shot at happiness together.

But then LB hooked up with Kirsten, which Stevie saw (probably correctly) as him giving up on them. Whether it was because Stevie wouldn't sleep with him or because she wouldn't give him the assurances he wanted that they would be together eventually, who knows... For whatever reason, it seems he just couldn't hang in long enough. K gets pregnant, Stevie knows she can never compete with that (no matter what LB might think), and it's over before it really began.

Still, as ever, Stevie got some brilliant songs out of it!

The story is LB met Kristen at a shoot for his solo project before The Dance happened.
