Default What are you doing for Halloween?

What's everyone doing for Halloween this year? What's your costume?

I'm heading up to my sister's college. There are rumblings about her friends and I all going as Sailor Moon, but I don't know that that's confirmed...

On a different night, my best friend and I are going to her parents' party as Bellatrix and Narcissa, probably.

My husband and I are hosting a huge Halloween/karaoke party. It's going to be crazy loud

I've never really been into organised dressing up (Occasionally go into Uni in my best washed pajamas for my birthday), so I shall be holing myself in my room with movies and yummy things. I'm thinking I shall be hosting a private Vincent Price (The Pit And The Pendulum, Theatre Of Blood, House Of Wax, The Raven and House On Haunted Hill I'm thinking) marathon, as well as watching the obligatory Thirteen Ghosts. For yummies I may just treat myself to a big bowl of Angel Delight (Butterscotch of course) and a bowl of green and red vegan Jelly Babies.

My friend usually throws a fantastic party. I've not gotten a FB invite yet, so I'm beginning to worry!

I've got a great party to go to at a friend's house, so excited ! I love Halloween, still haven't decided on a costume yet though.

Halloween is a much bigger deal in the USA than it is over here.

Although it has got more popular over recent years I don't really think it will ever be as big in England.

I think I'm going out with a few friends and some of the girls from work in costume. I'm totally going as Harry Potter, even if I'm slightly worried the permanent marker pen scar will never leave my face, haha.

Unless they include Pasties and Chips into the "treat" category, I don't see it getting big either. Maybe compromise with Steak and Kidney Pud and can of Dandelion and Burdock... But I think the main reason it hasn't really exploded is because the youth of England enjoy the holidays where the door is held open for them to create carnage. Bonfire Night has fireworks aka missiles (nuff said!), Mischief Night is pretty much self explanatory, and Christmas leaves the older, wiser of the youth free to destroy the hopes, dreams and fantasies of those younger than them with one minor detail. What kind of self respecting, sociopath teen doesn't enjoy breaking children's hearts lol?

I draw on myself with permanent marker all the time, and it does take a scrubbing but it will come off. Just might be a little red in the forehead afterwards lol.

Sounds like everyone is gearing up for a good time. I'm going as 'The Death of Disco'. I ordered my disco shirt, bell bottoms, platforms, and I bought my skeleton makeup. Of course, most of my friends are unaware of the 'Disco Sucks' period that became big in mid 1979 and 1980, so I'm gonna have to explain my outfit to a lot of people.

It is the most erotic of holidays! Seriously. I never understood that, until about 10 years ago.

I thought about it. Depends on what I can pull together, especially since I have brown hair sans-bangs.

I like going as celebrities. I went as Britney Spears last year:

Then again, I might do Britney again just because I put a lot of effort into that costume haha and was really proud of the result.

Why not wear a wig? I have a great Stevie shag wig. It's fun to dress up like Stevie on Halloween. Only catch is, you'll have to walk around with a tamborine all night. That is the one thing that gave me away instantly to people.
