Default Pipe Dreams

This has been on my mind lately. I don't think I have something that would qualify as a life so these are the things I think about. If Christine were actually going to come out with another solo album ( ) and she decided to re-record two of her older songs for it along with some new material, which two older songs would you pick for her to do? (This is assuming that you have that authority, and this is all pretty ridiculous so let's say that we all do. ) Lately I've been thinking that "Come a Little Bit Closer" and "Prove Your Love" would sound fantastic with her current voice. What do y'all think?

"Homeward Bound" (nothing she's recently put out rocks as good as this.)

And the other, hmm, "Why". It's sure been a long time since 1977 when it was last played live.

I would say pretty much any of her songs from 1971-1974. I've read a few interviews that she did in the 1980's & early 1990's. She mentioned several songs that she'd like to re-record. I'm a bit lazy to go back to try to find those interviews, but I think she mentioned "Did You Ever Love Me" & "Prove Your Love", maybe "Come A Little Bit Closer" too. She mentioned that she thought they were great songs, but that she hated her vocals. In all honesty, I really wouldn't be fussy if she were to do another solo album. I'd be happy with anything.

Wow! I had no idea she had even entertained the idea of re-recording any of those! That would be awesome. I do remember you or someone else saying that she doesn't like her vocals on "Prove Your Love" and I remember thinking that she's crazy.

Oh yeah. I would take what I can get. I don't think we'll be getting anything, though.

Maybe Sugar Daddy. I'd like to hear that one in a new style.

I'd love to hear a remake of "Remember Me."

Don't laugh, but I'd love to hear a whole album of "One More Night" in various keys.

Even I wouldn't want to hear something like this.

Well, David, I think it's always cool to really like a song that very few others care for.

Unless it's "Desert Angel"-- there are exceptions
