The screen size and type is the most important. Depending on your needs, I say go for the largest screen with the greatest clarity. Also, almost all now can be used in your house on your t.v. just like a "regular" DVD player. I would, however, wait until after Christmas for the sales, unless you see a good sale now. Also, some of the grocery stores around here have them for sale every now and then. So, your triple coupon thing might work.

Finally, if you get a great deal on a well known brand and it is not as hi def as one $100's of $$$ more, I would go for the deal if it still suits your needs.

On Amazon, they have a Panasonic 8" player for, I believe, $150 and I thought that was a FANTASTIC deal. Plus, it's region-free, so it'll play PAL discs. I was going to go with that, but CVS has a no-name brand player for only $99 this week. I'm torn. I have about $30 in CVS ExtraBucks, so it would only be around $70. It's only 5", though, and only plays region one discs.

We,, that is a lot of money and depending on their return policy, you can always try out the CVS one for prob. 30 days. Certainly by then, you should know if it will suit your needs

That Panasonic one is nice though and that diff. in those screens is HUGE IMO That is also a good price.

Ah decisions!!!!!

I'll probably get the one from Amazon and just get one of those six hour battery packs with my CVS ExtraBucks. I have jury duty next week, so I'm getting it at just the right time.

Do you rant when they interview you?
I've never been called, and have no idea why.

Depends on the question. I was called in as a potential juror on a case that involved an old lady's neighbor killing her cat for "fun." You can bet that I ranted a bit. And was promptly dismissed.

If someone kills a cat for fun, god knows what they'll do. Great, you just ruined my day...I'm sickened...

I've got a Panasonic 7'' screen for my portable DVD player, and it's great. It wasn't too expensive either. I would assume the larger screen would be even better. I use mine all the time, whether it be in the car, on vacation, around the house, etc... I love it. only thing is, the speakers on the player suck. Gotta have some nice headphones to go with the player.

Oh that's awful. Was what you said anything like, "Fry the bastard!"

I served once and it was one of the most interesting things I have ever done. It amazed me how many jurors were willing to come to a conclusion without being able to state why. It was a DUI and we convicted. I got to be the person to read the verdict and was paranoid that I was going to be hurt afterward!

I said that anyone who killed an animal for "fun" was sick bastard and that they should be killed for "fun" as a result. I felt like saying maybe we should skin his hide and produce a nice coat to debut on the runways.

I'd love to serve, but it's so hard to find things that you can be objective about, you know?
