Question Another Buckingham Nicks reissue rumour...

Is anyone keeping count?

I tried to find this guy's e-mail to beg for more info, but I couldn't get any of the links on this page to work. Any of y'all heard anything new?

(BTW, this came through over the Yahoo Stevie Nicks Chain...)

Fleetwood Mac

Ostensibly still touring behind last year's decent, but too lengthy, reunion disc, Say You Will, Fleetwood Mac hits town for the third time in a year with some new wrinkles to a 2 1/2-hour show that was an airtight and vibrant revelation when it played the Wachovia Center last May.

For this latest go-round, the band (still minus keyboardist Christine McVie, who will issue a solo album in the summer) has dusted off two tracks from the recently reissued Tusk: Lindsey Buckingham's buried new wave treasure "I Know I'm Not Wrong" and Stevie Nicks' achy-breaky "Sara." The former paramours have been reaching back even further into their canon for the 1973 Buckingham Nicks rarity "Don't Let Me Down Again," a stomping rockabilly number that the Mac hasn't performed in years. Word is the lone Buckingham-Nicks album will get an official CD release later this year. At which point Fleetwood Mac might finally be off the road.

Gee, I hope that's more than a rumour.

I love this band.

Too lengthy? I don't agree. This band has payed more of their share of dues to their industry, I say let them do what they damn well please.

Oh yeah, and I hope this isn't a rumour either..

Yeah, it turns out the delay was all because Stevie wanted the right computer graphics technology to put a blouse on her for the cover.
I will definitely be first in line if the CD comes out.

i read the other day an interview with this guy from Rhino about cd reissues as a whole, and it was mentioned there as well.
The question pop aficionados now ask is simple: What's left?
"If the topic is 'What has never been on CD before?' the list is pretty short and esoteric," says Pete Howard, publisher of ICE, a magazine targeting music collectors.

Howard notes that collectors still yearn for a CD version of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks' pre-Fleetwood Mac duo album from the '70s, "Buckingham Nicks."

I wish they'd put the one & only album by the inimitable Sam Sacks on CD.

My vote is for "Sweet Salvation" by Jim Krueger (the late guitarist from the Dave Mason band and author of "We Just Disagree). It's probably one of the ten best pop albums I've ever heard. I'm stunned (well, not really) that it wasn't a hit.
