Default New video at FM.com!!

Stevie adds her vocals to SYHA!! Sounds good!! Go check it out!!

Lindsey talking to her at the beginning, Stevie goes "Okay now, what do you think, am I just..." "I like it. Don't think about it. We'll do as many tracks as you want till you get tired and then we'll make something wonderful out of it later."

HEE!! I LOVE LINDSEY!!!!

BTW, Stevie sounds great!!

Hey...these wee snippets are great aren't they?
However...is it just me being niggly, but I'm not sure I want to hear Stevie on EVERY Lindsey track, it kinda changes the perspective of the songs so much..I just love to hear him by himself sometimes

Default Thanks Christy

Yes, as you all say - too short! Much too short.

Stevie's vocals sound so good there, but on the track they are mixed so low.... Makes you wonder. If in fcat they do get around to doing this new album with "2 part harmonies songs worked on from the ground up".... I can only imagine how good that will sound.

Stevie sounds so good - and Lindsey's edgy producerness is classic!

I love it!!!!!!! It's gonna sound sooo awesome. Damn, this whole album is going to be so great! I just can't wait!

I agree with gldstwmn, though....it should've been longer!! lol!

I hope we get a lot more of these clips. It's great being able to see the interaction between all of them...especially Stevie and Lindsey.

I was wondering where all of this new found energy was coming from myself. Maybe some of her other producers allow her to be vocally "lazy" (for lack of a better term). Although the songs you mentioned from TISL weren't so bad though. It might have been nice to hear her take the high part of the chorus on Sorcerer like she did on the demo though. And the extended verse version of POTU was great. But thank God Lindsey doesn't allow her to slack off! (Even though I don't know if anyone noticed, but I think she was singing a lower part in the live version of Peacekeeper than she does on the album. I wish she had more confidence.)

Wait no one was complaining at all about stevie's voice on TISL when it came out. It's the best she's sounded in years is ALL i heard. Now that there's something new we're all tossing shangri la away to the bins and saying she sounded like crap. I mean i thought she sounded great on most of shangri la.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Stevie's voice in alot of TISL and for that matter, I liked most of TISL. I have just always thought she could have done better vocally on TISL. What I hear now on FM.com and Trown Down and Smile at You affirms what I thought.

You couldn't be more wrong - I'm not tossing TISL anywhere. I adore it!!! Stevie sounded terrific to me on it. It's just that I'm excited by most of her performance on this new album, and simple logic makes me wonder that if she is doing this well with Say You Will a few years after TISL, couldn't she have sounded EVEN BETTER on TISL, with a few less years under her belt? Again I really think it's mainly just a matter of Lindsey being her best producer, and nothing more.

I have to agree that Stevie could have pushed the envelope a little more on TISL. I still think that Lindsey knows how to get the best perfromance out of her. As far as the live TISL shows, I don't think Stevie's voice can handle 90 minutes like it used to, thus she uses the lower register. I am glad this record is taking her to new heights.
