Hi Ya'll
Just thought I'd post a random hello...I just joined up here, and it looks like I'm gonna love it! I love all things FM...I'm a huge Stevie Fan, but I love the band as a whole as well...been into them since the first "White Album" (with the supergroup lineup) Stevie took prominence for me around the "Tusk" era...anyway...hope to talk to you all soon...
Peace! Michael |

Thanks for the welcome, all!
Kathy...I mentioned the albums that were current .... meaning I got into FM sometime between the White Album and Rumours (Rumours may have already been out, actually) I remember loving 'Rhiannon', but liking Christine's songs better at the time ( my favorite was 'Warm Ways' still one of my fave CM songs) ... Somewhere between Rumours and Tusk, my friend played me "Silver Springs" and Stevie became my favorite Mac, and then, when Tusk came out, it was all about Stevie for me...and it has been ever since... |

The first time I heard The Dance version of Silver Springs, I nearly passed out...I felt probably much like Stevie did when it finally became the hit that it had always deserved to be...I had spent so many years championing the song to anyone who would listen...and here it was for all the world to finally hear! I also tend to look at the two versions (meaning the original - and I know there are different mixes of that, but I'm including them all here - and The Dance vs) as two different songs...they are both equally gorgeous...one seems to me to be a girl with a broken heart making threats..the other is a woman who knows the pain that time cannot heal...and she's making promises... I totally love them both!

It always makes me want to say "y'all come back now, ya hear?".
Welcome! |

I must say, i 'stole' "y'all" from the Indigo Girls ...they always say "thanks y'all" after applause and stuff, and I like the way it sounds...

I can't remember who use to say that. Was it Roy Rogers?

I thought it was the people on Hee Haw.
