Default Long Players play Fleetwood Mac's "Fleetwood Mac" in Nashville

Just as an FYI-

The Long Players are covering The White Album (plus a bonus set of Mac covers after the album set) on Friday at Mercy Lounge in Nashville. Rick Vito and Billy Burnette are playing with them that night. Tickets are $15.

Yeah, I'm down there all the time. But I've just got too much work right now, to make it happen.

When you capitalize it, it means you're referring to the Beatles' 1968 album. Lower case ("white album") is the 1975 Fleetwood Mac album.

This is really kind of... um... surreal - former members of Fleetwood Mac playing in a Fleetwood Mac cover band. That would be sort of like Lindsey playing a show consisting of nothing but covers of Stevie's songs. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Rick and Billy, but I do think this is kind of cool. I would definitely go if I was in Nashville!

Actually, no. When *I* capitalize it, I am, in fact, referring to the Fleetwood Mac album.

It's not really your typical cover band. It's a group of Nashville musicians that play a cover of a classic album about once a month and they have guests sit in with them. I know Billy's sat in with them before on other albums, not sure about Rick. (As a side not, so has Walter Egan.) But both of them used to play some of this stuff with the band on tour so they probably don't see it as being that big of a deal. I'm kind of excited to see what they pull out in the second set, if they actually try something off Behind the Mask.

Billy performing Blue Letter and Rick performing World Turning --both songs are so appropriate for each of them. I'm not familiar with the other performers. Is it possible to catch some of this show on youtube or elsewhere? I'm most interested in hearing the three songs from the album that Fleetwood Mac have never performed live: Warm Ways, Crystal, and Sugar Daddy.
