(I was going to post this in the "bands you miss" thread, but my post was long and I didn't want to hijack the thread!)

I am going to say that the number one band I am currently missing is...

10,000 MANIACS!!!

I have just recently (about 4 months ago) become completely OBSESSED with them- about 15 years too late I know! I have always loved Natalie Merchant and had some of her albums(LIVE 1999 is great!, Tigerlily, Ophelia), then on a whim I decided to buy In My Tribe, Blind Man's Zoo, and Our Time in Eden. They are all great- I love every song on In My Tribe and Eden, Blind Man's Zoo is hit and miss...

I know it will probably never happen, but Natalie getting back with the Maniacs for a reunion would be awesome!

Most of their songs are great, but those are some of recognizable ones. I just love Natalie's lyrics and how most (maybe none) of their songs aren't love songs, but ones with a powerful message or that just make you feel good (THESE ARE DAYS!).

So, just wanted to see if anyone else has any "Maniac Memories"

I, too, LOVE them. Verdi Cries is one of my fav. songs EVER!!!!!

Did you get a chance to get their latest (I think) compilation which includes a bunch of songs from, their early days - it is GREAT. I also love "Planned Obsolescence" - killer group.

Also, if you get a chance, see if you can find the MTV appearance on, I think, Unplugged and NM's solo Storytellers, which has one of the most haunting version of Verdi Cries. I love them and her!!!!!!
