So, Lindsey always had this thing for the 1950s. Remember, Oh Diane. That is what this song reminds me of, Oh Diane, from Mirage. I think this song will be much more appreciated in Europe just like Oh Diane was, which actually charted high in Europe.
To me, it's almost too simple, but I think the point of the song is the harmonies and I think the harmonies are excellent, so I'm giving this one a thumbs up. At least he produced this one more lushley than the last one which means there is hope for the album. I'm also feeling a Tango vibe, which I like. |

In recent interviews looking back at Mirage, Lindsey indicated that pastiche is the last resort of the desperately unbothered. Yet, this is more than pastiche, an exploration of his musical inspirations, shared cultural heritage, and his musical kinship with Christine. It is appropriate. He accesses pop's sublime essence--like the 50s throwback group in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive.
I can think of no higher praise. Really.

I voted I love it, too. I'm just happy that Christine sings on it, that there is a nice melody and that is has a retro sound.

Sigh. Strike 2 for me.
Sounds like a boring adult contemporary song you'd hear on the credits of a Lifetime movie :-( |

I'm still trying to figure out how to vote on IMW, but this one gets a "love it" before I've even finished my first listen.

Not for nothing but OP sorry you have TOO many choices in your poll that mean the same thing and we have to add up to find out if people actually like the song.
In the future can you just stick to: I love it It's ok I don't like it I hate it. Simple. Just my opinion! |

Not with that quirky, Lindsey Buckingham Brian Wilsonesque production. NO freaking way! Much better then that.

Choices 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 all mean the same thing. 3 and 7 are the same. 1 and 10 are the same. But you can't fault the OP for their enthusiasm!

3 and 7 are not the same. And there are levels to hate and love.
