Default Sisters of the Moon

I love the keyboards on this live version (Mirage). It's a very loud song so you have to really listen to them in the mix, but she's playing some really cool riffs. I love how she slams down on some of the chords accenting some cool play offs with the rest of the instruments. It's a great example where she's functioning as rhythm and helping with the melody/harmony. Also I noticed she plays off both John and Lindseed at different times. Ahhh the key of Christine McVie. A class and style that is so beautifully subtle and genuis to my baby ears.

You've described it better than I could have.

I think part of the reason for that accenting effect you recognize in her playing is attributable to the board she was usi . . .

Oh never mind. I feel like such a dick.

A few of you do, & that's all right with me, doggone it.

I see in my e-mail that Yamaha is now manufacturing a Yamaha CP33 digital piano. I wonder if it has the old CP30 sound in its bank of patches. I'd buy one if it did. I sold both of my 125-pound monsters & do miss them.

I still think that you should buy an Alesis Nano Piano. They only go for about $140 on eBay. 256 sounds. As I've told you before, they at LEAST make for a decent backup module. I started carrying mine as a backup, then started midi'ing it as an extra "straight, clean, piano" sound. Now, it's my favorite clean piano sound(don't even THINK about making fun of my old crap here, pal!!!!).

But I don't need the following:

1. Acoustic piano
2. Rhodes
3. Wurlitzer
4. Clavinet
5. B3

For the acoustic, I have my Korg digital, which is perfect for me. For the others, I have the Nord, which is also perfect for me. So what do I gain by using the Nano Piano? Essentially, all I want at this point in terms of voices are:

1. Pianet (electrostatic variety)
2. CP30
3. Synth pad, etc. (stuff I can get from the Korg X5DR)

That's why I got all excited when I saw Yamaha was now producing a CP33 digital. I assumed they were trying to tie it in to the CP line, which apparently they are. So does that mean it has the sound of the older ones?
