Default “Your favorite band sucks”

Has anyone ever listened to this podcast? They did one on FM. It was kind of interesting. The hosts clearly don’t like FM. I was not surprised with content. It was kind of funny but I am not easily offended.

I heard some of those podcasts a few months ago, including the Fleetwood Mac. I was amused by the bitching for about ten minutes, I think, and then I grew tired of the pseudo-cutesiness. The gimmick of the podcast just doesn’t have the cleverness it would need to draw you back repeatedly (a fault of many podcasts). You need to be a Dwight Macdonald or an George Bernard Shaw to spit venom brilliantly enough to sustain an intelligent audience.

Well said. The premise has promise. But only for a brief, satirical bit. And judging from the list of band’s included (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, etc) it would appear that NOT to suck is the real insult.

Though I understand it was satirical, what did they criticize, what were the bitching things?
