To be fair, I had been a fan for nearly twenty years and had seen him five previous times (Mac and solo) by that point. I never liked his banter, but it really hit a nerve at that show as did wondering if it was live or if it was Memorex.
I’d take a sloppy drunk lead guitar solo and an off key vocalist over piped in music and modulated vocals every time.

Glen was still alive, and it was more about The Eagles-Fleetwood Mac rivalry. Dogging on other artists is something Bob Pollard does (he actually has a couple of live albums of just his banter called “Relaxation of the A**hole” that are hilarious), which is way more rock than going over a therapy session with an audience.
