I hate it when people try to draw parallels between Rumours and Tusk. They always completely omit any reference to The White album. Rumours is very much an extension of Fleetwood Mac, albeit a bigger, better brother. Though I appreciate some of Lindsey's aural leanings from Tusk can be traced back to Rumours, its as if people think Rumours popped out of nowhere. Though recorded relatively quickly (which is actually akin to the approach of true 70's/80's goth music), Fleetwood Mac also had elements of left-field creativity. Add to that, Rhiannon is more Goth (in more than one sense) than pretty much anything else they've ever done.
