She had a kid with Ray Davies. She was married (I think) to Jim Kerr of Simple Minds. In her bio, which I haven't read she talks about being raped by a motorcycle gang and that being part of her motivation to leave Ohio. She also describes herself as a bit of a tramp. Some of her lyrics are quite descriptive of that.
