As a woman without kids, I have to say this notion that we all must be terribly jealous of people with children is rather insulting. I personally see children as a burden and do not want any (gasp, shock, horror).
Some women do not wish to have children. Some women just aren't cut out to be mothers.
I'm not saying this to defend Stevie; I'm saying this because it's a reality for many women in today's world. You can have families with having children; you can be perfectly fulfilled without having children.
Let's put away this antiquated notion that all women are desperate to be mothers, shall we?
