Thanks for the heads-up, mate. My wife was excited about Bricktown but it always pays to be careful.

As for me, i finally got it figured out with UCO and I (and my wife!) do have tickets. They apparently don't run the credit card until a bit later, which was confusing. You don't buy them on a website, you have to do it over the phone, so I was unsure where I stood..
They also said the meet-and-greet is still full, but I am on the list, so we'll see.
