Because it seems incongruent. I was weaned on
Dark Shadows from the time I was about 5. I love Barnabas Collins. So, good for her. The song will work as well in Transylvania as New Orleans.
When she gets to England this fall, I hope she can sing a little something for them about Winchester Cathedral, Princess Diana and Jack the Ripper.
