As one of the driving forces behind the superb Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham churns out compositions like it’s a simple as writing your name.

His trademark finger-picking guitar style is unmistakable and he’s not afraid to combine musical themes - whether it’s the tribal, bluesy feel of ‘Tusk’ or the country-inspired ‘Down on Rodeo.’

In his new three-CD album entitled ‘Solo Anthology - The Best of Lindsey Buckingham’, his talent is present in spades.

I didn’t give the last album that he appeared on a great review. That was his production with Christine McVie, also from Fleetwood Mac.

Unfortunately, I just couldn’t warm to the sound and one of those tracks from the album - ‘Sleeping Around the Corner,’ is on this latest offering.

That aside, this album I did like. Even if you’re not a fan of ‘The Mac’, with a broad spectrum of styles and influences on this album, there’s a lot to be appreciated.

And if you are a fan, there is ‘Big Love’, ‘Go Your Own way’ and of course ‘Tusk’, included in the tracks, plus live recordings.

He’s had an incredible career, so sit back, pop on the album, and enjoy.

The album is out now.
