Reagan was a man who only thought of himself, first and foremost, as evidenced back in the fifties when McCarthy was holding his witch trials. Reagan readily accused other actors and actresses of being communists when called upon.
Contrary to popular belief, he did not end the Cold War. The Soviet Union imploded, with really no significant help for Reagan or his administration.
His involvement with Iran Contra affair is one of the most sickening things a president has ever had a hand in. He should've been impeached and tried by a jury.
