Yes of course it's the latter. The former would be karaoke. I think someone else used the phrase lip synch.
Anyway, none of that should come as any surprise - from this band, in particular, right? All I'm trying to say is that I don't think it's correct that The Dance was fine tuned to the same degree that say, Tango in the Night was.
