[Nothing new, but found the part that said LB wrote 5 songs for the mother and 3 were used interesting. I missed that in Billboard]

Lindsey Buckingham, Graham Parker and Ryan Adams all performed at the Roxy in Los Angeles on Wednesday (December 12) for the This Is 40 soundtrack release party.

Parker played with his Rumour backing act, the first time in 30 years the band has performed in L.A. It was the main act, running through a 22 song set that included songs from Howling Wind (1976) through Three Chords Good (2012).

Buckingham played the two tracks he wrote for the film—"Sick of You" and "She Acts Like You"—as well as two Fleetwood Mac tracks, "Never Going Back Again" and "Big Love."

"He wrote five songs for the movie and three were used," Judd Apatow told Billboard. The soundtrack for the film (which is set for release December 21) is available now.
