Do you think they even considered bringing in a female? It didn't have to be Sheryl Crow if they did but equality would have been nice - three men and three women - and with Neil (piano) and Sheryl (guitar, bass, piano) it's two for one, they sing and they play an instrument!

Sheryl Crow is great at what she does, but FM is in a whole different league.
Her singing is average and often shrill and her writing is mediocre and often rote.
Musically she’s about as derivative as one could be.

I’m not sure I know of a greater guitar player (for a big white mainstream rock act) than Mike Campbell. And he’s a superb songwriter.
