Mick wasn't dismissing her songs. I think he was pleased that she wrote 4 new songs. He was laughing at her attitude. They had been in the studio working for 6 months and she sailed in and was acting like the recording had just begun now that she was there. He was just reminding her that they had been there for months already thinking about FM, even if she was absent.
