I think as it gets closer I'll probably end up buying my mom a cheap ticket just so I'm not walking around alone downtown in the middle of the night. She doesn't care where she sits anyway, actually she doesn't care if she goes lol, but she'll enjoy it regardless.
I feel like I sound like such a baby - I'm actually almost 20 (so, yep, a baby :P) but like I said, really paranoid.

It's not that bad. I've been going downtown to concerts since I was 14. If you get there early just go hang out in the CNN Center food court -- and the best parking lot is across the street from PA where Don Juan's mexican restaurant is. You can just walk right across the street -- it's so convenient and easy to get in and out of too. Sorry, I'm horrible with street names, but when you turn left out of the parking lot you make a right onto Marietta St.
