I don't think(not certain) that Glenn did it until after Meisner left the band, at the end? of the HC tour. And even then, I don't think Glenn did it until the past 20 years(god, that makes me feel old, writing that).

But yes, I've read that Meisner didn't like doing it, that he was afraid of the super high notes at the end, that he wouldn't be able to hit them.
