They were both writers for Jewel Eyed Judy, The Purple Dancer and (I think) Station Man. Generally I'd imagine Danny created the music and Chris added the lyrics. However, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere Jenny Fleetwood wrote the lyrics for The Purple Dancer so Danny and Chris might well have written the music for that together. The Purple Dancer certainly sounds like something Danny would write, but at the same time it has hints of Keep Me There (Chris' precursor to The Chain).
