Well, you should learn your history then before lecturing someone else. The US did not go in to Iraw unilaterally in 1991. We had a UN mandate and the authority to assassinate Saddam. The US also DOES go around assassinating leaders. Remember Nuremberg? In fact, there is a current civil suit against Henry Kissinger right now because of an action he took as part of the Nixon administration to assassinate the leader of a South American country and the family of the interpreter sued Kissinger because he died in the process. Back to your original point, if we had assassinated Saddam in 1991 and set up a government (as we had a UN authorization) when the Iraqi's were more willing, we would have done the job. We didn't do that. Even Former President Bush has admitted on a Nightline interview 5 years ago that he wished he had assassinated Saddam. Apparently, you don't know your history. Don't underestimate me either.
