I don't think the pollster is doing the polls because he thinks there's a lot of interest in the Pre-Rumours community. I think he wants to tabulate Pre-Rumours and post-Rumours results with the popular polls he is conducting in the Rumours forum, for completist purposes, to have comprehensive results for FM, beginning to end.
Now, I know that with so few people voting, the results for the Pre-Rumours section won't be very meaningful, not a statistically relevant sample, as they say -- but that's really the pollster's problem.
Everyone can just skip the poll threads in their entirety, if it's not your thing.
