I don't see why BuckVie would have been free to collaborate beyond 2017 with Stevie waiting to tour with the full Fleetwood Mac in 2018.

Or are you suggesting they should have fired Stevie? If so I disagree. You can't rightfully call it "Fleetwood Mac" without Stevie and Lindsey both. Under any circumstances.
