This afternoon I heard 'I Won't Let You Down' by an early 80's band called PhD on the radio in the car.
I have no conscious recollection of this song from when I was a kid but I must have heard it at some point- it brought back so many childhood memories. So much so I had to have a binge and listen to it again on Youtube about 20 times over when I got in. I was very young but 1982 must have been a great year for music.
Anyway, I dont think this band had another hit and I'm not sure this charted anywhere else outside the UK. The lead singer had an amazing voice- sounds very strong but feminine... kind of like Shirley Bassey. Surprised to find it was a man!
