I'd put Eagles at the same level as FM and The Who. In terms of legendary status then Bob Dylan wins hands down. However, as in-demand live entities that people would pay good money to want to see I'd put Eagles and Mac above Dylan, Young and Waters and probably even above The Who as well. They still don't come close to competing with the Stones or McCartney. Overall as a package though, the current East/West coast line ups come across as very, very lightweight when compared to the Desert shows. If they added The Boss, Stevie Wonder and Led Zep then it would be a different matter. Then add David Gilmour and Nick Mason (edit: with Roger Waters)...wow
