I think Neil joined FM for a couple of reasons:
1) The opportunity to work with Stevie, Christine, Mick, John, and Mike.
2) The money from touring.
3) It gives him exposure to a whole new audience.
Let's be honest- the opportunity to work with FM would be hard to turn down for anybody. I can't fault him for any of those reasons. I also think Stevie will record with FM since Lindsey was fired, and I bet she told Neil that before he joined.
