'80s Concert Craze

Many concert goers caught the New Wave this year with groups that hit it big in the past and still manage to go strong despite a tough music business. Instead of playing one certain venue older acts played all over the city depending on popularity and guesswork of ticket sales. Some struggled and some of the girls just had fun.

Stevie Nicks dropped in early to the United Center with Rod Stewart and didn't "Stand Back" even returning for a solo show in the late summer. While there were some memorable tracks on her album In Your Dreams produced by the Eurythmics frontman Dave Stewart, her show was at moments self indulgent. When she talked about not being able to find her car at a veterans hospital visit it was time to fly before any Rumours started...
